I was able to take Casey's senior portraits recently and use some of my new studio backgrounds during the session. It was so surreal to be taking pictures of someone who I knew as a young boy. It's crazy how much people change and how fast they grow up! I feel too young to be saying that, too!

Newborn Session: Emilia
One of my second cousins recently had a beautiful baby girl, Emilia. Their family lives in North Carolina so it was great to have the opportunity to take her pictures when they were in my area for the weekend. Emilia was very cooperative for the session. She was also a little tired so it didn't go without a hitch, but I was very pleased with the turnout. Here is the beautiful Emilia:
We had fun experimenting with some mirror shots where she's looking at herself in a mirror. It was my mom's idea to include it in the shot, and I'm very glad that I went with her advise. :)

Portrait Session: Bethany
My friend Bethany recently donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love. She wanted me to take some pictures of her with her new do. These were taken in the Historic District of Ellicott City. They were a lot of fun! Here are a few shots from that day:

Engagement: Suzanne and Fred
I've known Suzanne since high school and she recently got engaged! Her wedding is going to be at M&T Bank stadium in Baltimore, home of the Ravens. I was very excited to have the opportunity to take her engagement pictures on location at the stadium. It was a very unique experience, and I hope to have the chance to take pictures there again in the future. The wedding coordinator couldn't have been more helpful throughout the session. She was recommending specific locations to take pictures and noted the significance of specific places inside the stadium that I wouldn't have known otherwise. After we got some pictures on the field and in the stands, we did some more pictures in Federal Hill Park, which were also a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights from that day:

Update
Hello friends!
I finally got my business license for photography! From here on out it will certainly be a challenge and an ongoing process to figure out all of the logistics, but I feel so official!
I really love this time of year for pictures - the changing leaves, all the color, and the holiday season. I'm currently running a promotion for Christmas and holiday portraits - you can get details from my website.

Thanks for all of the support! I hope to hear from more of you in the upcoming months!

Wedding: Cindy and Caleb
I had the opportunity to go to Ohio a few weeks ago and shoot Cindy and Caleb's wedding in Jamestown. It was one of the most heartfelt weddings I've ever been to. There was an abundance of love, and care put into everything. I was very pleased with the turnout and couldn't be happier for the newlyweds. Congratulations Cindy and Caleb!

Portraits: Andrew
Wedding: Amber and Andrew
Amber and Andrew contacted me about doing their wedding photos while I was still going to school in Ohio. They were both very patient to schedule meetings with me while I was home on breaks, and I was home for good in time to do their wedding in February of this year. They are both very warm hearted and understanding. Amber was probably one of the most easy going brides I've ever had the pleasure to work with, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with them in the future.
Half way through the reception it started snowing outside so I was able to do some portraits of them both in the snow. It was all too perfect that one of the themes of their wedding was winter and snowflakes.
Congratulations Amber and Andrew!
Portraits: Katie
My oldest sister Katie is a phenomenal guitar player. Whenever she doesn't have a guitar in her hands it's as though she's missing an appendage. She wanted me to take some promotional shots of her with her guitar and I was able to get creative with the way I shot some of them. For the "shot through a guitar" look, I cut a hole into a piece of card-stock and taped string across it to look like guitar strings. By holding the cut out in front of my camera and focusing on Katie, I was able to give the appearance that the image was shot through the inside of a guitar. It was a lot of fun and Katie has a wonderful personality that always photographs well.
