Senior Portraits: Kendra

Last year, I had the chance to do Eric's senior portraits, and this year his sister wanted her portraits taken for her senior year as well. I had a lot of fun arranging these pictures at a park close to their home in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The park had a lot of really scenic places, including some train tracks that I took advantage of. I typically don't use train tracks in sessions because I think it comes across as cliche, but I was really happy with the way these turned out, and thought it really worked with her violin in the shots. Here are some of my favorites from that day:

Current Promotion

I'm currently running a 20% off special for engagement sessions booked before February 29th of this year! Take advantage! Save a buck or two. :)

Christmas Family Portraits: Jacobs

The Jacobs came to my in-home studio in December to get some family portraits done for cards. It was a lot of fun to play around with some different props this year. I went out and got some large bows, some of the old-fashioned large bulbed colorful lights, and other knick knacks to use. Unfortunately, the old-fashioned lights blew out after about 3 minutes. I guess that's why most people don't use them anymore! Otherwise, I was pleased with how the session turned out. It can be very challenging to arrange that many kids and get a good shot! Here are some of my favorites:

Senior Portraits: Casey

I was able to take Casey's senior portraits recently and use some of my new studio backgrounds during the session. It was so surreal to be taking pictures of someone who I knew as a young boy. It's crazy how much people change and how fast they grow up! I feel too young to be saying that, too!

Newborn Session: Emilia

One of my second cousins recently had a beautiful baby girl, Emilia. Their family lives in North Carolina so it was great to have the opportunity to take her pictures when they were in my area for the weekend. Emilia was very cooperative for the session. She was also a little tired so it didn't go without a hitch, but I was very pleased with the turnout. Here is the beautiful Emilia:

We had fun experimenting with some mirror shots where she's looking at herself in a mirror. It was my mom's idea to include it in the shot, and I'm very glad that I went with her advise. :)

Portrait Session: Bethany

My friend Bethany recently donated 10 inches of her hair to Locks of Love. She wanted me to take some pictures of her with her new do. These were taken in the Historic District of Ellicott City. They were a lot of fun! Here are a few shots from that day:

Engagement: Suzanne and Fred

I've known Suzanne since high school and she recently got engaged! Her wedding is going to be at M&T Bank stadium in Baltimore, home of the Ravens. I was very excited to have the opportunity to take her engagement pictures on location at the stadium. It was a very unique experience, and I hope to have the chance to take pictures there again in the future. The wedding coordinator couldn't have been more helpful throughout the session. She was recommending specific locations to take pictures and noted the significance of specific places inside the stadium that I wouldn't have known otherwise. After we got some pictures on the field and in the stands, we did some more pictures in Federal Hill Park, which were also a lot of fun. Here are some of the highlights from that day:
