Portraits: Andrew

Andrew is a good friend of mine who I recently had the privilege of doing portraits for. Here are some of my favorite shots from that session:

Andrew loves his dog, which is extremely evident in this picture. Their chemistry in front of a camera was adorable.

Wedding: Amber and Andrew

Amber and Andrew contacted me about doing their wedding photos while I was still going to school in Ohio. They were both very patient to schedule meetings with me while I was home on breaks, and I was home for good in time to do their wedding in February of this year. They are both very warm hearted and understanding. Amber was probably one of the most easy going brides I've ever had the pleasure to work with, and I hope to have the opportunity to work with them in the future.

Half way through the reception it started snowing outside so I was able to do some portraits of them both in the snow. It was all too perfect that one of the themes of their wedding was winter and snowflakes.

Congratulations Amber and Andrew!

Portraits: Katie

My oldest sister Katie is a phenomenal guitar player. Whenever she doesn't have a guitar in her hands it's as though she's missing an appendage. She wanted me to take some promotional shots of her with her guitar and I was able to get creative with the way I shot some of them. For the "shot through a guitar" look, I cut a hole into a piece of card-stock and taped string across it to look like guitar strings. By holding the cut out in front of my camera and focusing on Katie, I was able to give the appearance that the image was shot through the inside of a guitar. It was a lot of fun and Katie has a wonderful personality that always photographs well.

Family: The Jacobs

Meghan, Amy and Seth are three of my cousins. I adore all three of them and they work so well together for photos. I was glad for the opportunity to take pictures of them together. Here are three of my favorite pictures that I got that day:

Engagement: Sarah and Bobby

Sarah has been one of my long time childhood friends. We grew up going to church together, and I was very excited that she wanted me to do her engagement pictures for she and her fiance, Bobby. We met in downtown Annapolis to get some pictures by the docks and around some of the historic buildings. Here are some of my favorite shots from that day:
